Before joining the Edison faculty in 1999, I worked in various clinical and medical research laboratories in Oregon, California, Michigan & Alaska. Various opportunities to instruct in the lab made me realize that I enjoy educating others. While obtaining my Masters degree, I discovered the joy of educating young adults. I then taught Biology for science majors, Biology for non-science majors, and Microbiology at University of Alaska Anchorage. In 1996 I moved to Huntington Beach with my family and obtained secondary certification. I love teaching Biology! I have taught Biology at 6 different levels and enjoyed every one of them.
I am the proud mother of four daughters who all graduated from Edison High School -- two daughters are chemical engineers, one is a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, and one is a high school science teacher (here at Edison!).
